Qualification summary
The NCFE Level 3 Award in Assessing Competence in the Work Environment, course is intended for assessors who assess occupational competence in an individuals work environment. It includes the following assessment methods (although not all of these require performance evidence):

observation of performance in the work environment

examining products of work

questioning the learner

professional discussion with the learner

use of witness testimony

learner statements and/or reflective accounts

recognition of prior learning

All of these new qualifications are part of the Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF), applicable in England, Wales and Northern Ireland, providing successful learners with transferable unit credit.

Employers, line managers, personnel / HR managers please note that these programmes can also be delivered in the conventional way for groups of 5 or more i.e. classroom based or a hybrid of both distance learning and workshop format in line with busy schedules and organisational needs.
